We received specialized training and we provide long term care for residents either male or female, suffering from various conditions as:
- Dementia & Alzheimer disease
- Diabetes
- Parkinson’s disease
- Cardiac conditions, Respiratory conditions
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
- Stroke
- Falls and related injuries
- Depression and Changing Behaviors
- Anxiety and Panic disorder
- Terminally Illnesses, and/or on hospice program
- Cerebral Palsy
- Blind or deaf condition
- Urinary and Bowel Incontinence
- Urinary Foley catheter
- Other incapacitating or weakening conditions
The residents need assistance with daily living activities, from morning to evening and sometimes during the night. Most of them have some level of forgetfulness, but also they have strengths and abilities. We accommodate and support existing levels of function and development, allowing time, and encouraging everyone to use their skills, and to perform any activity that they can do on their own, even if the outcome is not perfect. We provide one-on-one assistance for:
- bathing, grooming, shaving
- dressing and undressing
- feeding
- walking
- blood glucose monitoring
- vital signs monitoring
- transferring from or to chair
- physical exercise
- insulin administration
Medication management and administration assistance is provided by following strictly the instructions from medical personal and from the pharmacist.
Housekeeping, personal laundry and linen services are part of the daily routine.
Our home offers rehabilitation and exercising services available onsite through a visiting physical therapist or occupational therapist. Home Health programs of various medical groups, when referred by the doctor, provide in home wound care, catheter maintenance, IV administration or other medical services.
A Home Doctor and podiatrist care are also on call. A licensed hair dresser/ beautician and masseuse provide services on site, when requested.
